Bethesda Senior Living Communities is seeking an Activity Assistant to plan and lead engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being for residents. You will organize daily events, assist with orientation, track attendance, and encourage participation while delivering compassionate care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to manage calendars and supplies within a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a care facility preferred.
• Certified Activity Director, Recreational Therapist, or Occupational Therapist is desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to use Publisher and Print Shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in daily activities and events for residents.
• Assist with New Resident Orientation and attendance tracking.
• Promote resident participation and coordinate volunteer efforts.
• Maintain activity calendars and supply inventories.
• Provide transportation for residents and support emergency procedures.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding activity needs.
