Job summary

Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections Memory Care in Jerseyville, IL is looking for an Activities Assistant to lead and supervise engaging programs for residents. The role includes welcoming new residents, planning seasonal events, and coordinating daily activity schedules.

You will support census efforts, maintain activity records, and may drive the company vehicle when required. This is a part-time, on-site position with weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned activity programs.
• Provide adequate and diversified recreational activities to residents with supervision for each activity.
• Develop programs for residents including for those confined to their rooms.
• Engage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Inform residents of upcoming activities and maintain a current schedule of events on the bulletin board.
• Greet new residents and engage them with others with similar interests.
• Plan parties and activities and decorate the community according to season/holiday; plan monthly birthday parties.
• Support census-building initiatives.
• Maintain records of activities and participation as required by state law.
• May drive company vehicle between locations (if required).
• Perform other duties as needed.
