Job summary

Entegris is seeking an R&D Engineer II to join the Membrane R&D team at the Bedford, MA facility. You will develop surface-modified polymeric membranes for liquid filtration in semiconductor processes and contribute to tech development, scale-up, and commercialization.

You will perform DOE-based experiments, membrane characterization, and data interpretation (FTIR, UV-Vis, LC-MS, etc.) while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance products and interact with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years in product or process development, manufacturing engineering, or related.
• Experience designing and executing laboratory experiments and documenting results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven recommendations.
• Experience preparing technical reports and presentations.
• Ability to work in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and safe lab practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop new formulations and chemical processes via DOE and analytics.
• Characterize membranes using flow time, bubble point, FTIR, UV-Vis, ion exchange.
• Interpret data from ICP-MS, LC-MS, GC-MS to evaluate membrane performance.
• Assist with process optimization for roll-to-roll manufacturing.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and lab documentation.
• Collaborate with applications, product development, operations, and quality teams.
• Support customer sample evaluations and technical discussions.
• Support DFMEA and validation protocol development.
• Ensure ISO and quality systems compliance.
