Job summary

The Toledo Zoo is seeking a Membership Sales & Services Associate to handle on-site membership sales, provide excellent customer service, and perform data entry for memberships sold on Zoo grounds.

You will respond to member calls and monitor email inquiries while working under supervision of the Membership Sales Manager. This is a non-exempt role eligible for overtime with varied scheduling to fit programming needs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent experience in sales, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work schedules include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by programming schedule or other department needs.
• Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.

Salary Range: $11.00 To $11.00 Hourly

Our Development department is currently seeking a Membership Sales & Services Associate who is passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience. This position offers a base pay of $11.00 per hour plus commission.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for on-site membership sales, customer service, data entry, and document processing for memberships sold on Zoo grounds. In addition, Associates respond to member telephone calls and monitor email accounts for correspondences. The ideal candidate must possess strong Customer Service skills, have the ability to take direction and work independently as well as within a team.

The position reports to the Membership Sales Manager, is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week.

Minimum Training and Experience

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent experience in sales, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
