Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
- One to two years of related experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups from all social and economic backgrounds.
Essential Functions
- Supervise program activities to meet community needs and YMCA objectives.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
- Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Establish and expand program activities within the community.
- Assist in marketing and organizing program registrations.
- Review and process scholarship applications.
- Build collaborative relationships with community organizations.
- Manage and monitor program budgets.
- Coordinate facility use for programs and events.
- Support YMCA fundraising and special events.
- Model relationship-building skills.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and complaints.
- Compile program statistics and evaluate effectiveness.
- Ensure membership strategies meet community needs and align with strategic goals.
- Promote program and membership enrollment.
- Coordinate registration logistics and marketing efforts.
- Foster service and engagement to build loyalty.
- Organize membership events and represent the YMCA at community events.
- Ensure proper implementation of operational procedures.
- Coordinate with the Resource Office on financial transactions.
- Participate in budget planning and management.
- Lead and develop membership team and volunteers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
