Summary:The Membership & Program Coordinator is an employee of The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce and reports to the Chamber President/CEO. The position is responsible for coordinating all Chamber membership including membership recruitment, sales, and retention. While reporting directly to the President & CEO for The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce, the Membership & Program Coordinator will handle all membership & program tasks from start to finish. As the primary point of contact for The San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce member & program relations, the Membership & Program Coordinator will primarily coordinate with the CEO, Chamber members, business owners, sales, and marketing teams. Oversee & coordinate all membership & program activities, campaigns as well as drive the membership committee with the Vice Chair of Membership.Our goal is to Showcase The Chamber to maximize our outreach to community members, retain and engage current members, and encourage membership growth through fun interactive networking and showing value for being a member of the San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
·Reports directly to the President & CEO
·Communicate and Collaborate with the President & CEO for The Chamber on a regular basis
·Oversee all membership duties as assigned and in the job description
·Work with in-house team and outside contractors to create and distribute membership information and benefits on social media, websites, and other marketing/media outlets
·Establish standardized membership retention procedures and train staff or volunteers into properly executing them as a team
·Work with the President & CEO on creating and hitting membership budget targets
·Expected bring in at least 12 new members per month
·Expected to maintain/retain 80-90% of all membership
·Expected to grow membership
·Oversee all Program (i.e. Leadership East County, Women In Business, Refer East County)
·Identifies new business opportunities, initiating communication with decision makers.
·Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients.
·Conducts reviews on accounts on a regular basis to evaluate clients' needs to match with appropriate products and/or services.
·Conducts regular reviews of promotional activities to enhance and identify development potential.
·Prepares and reports market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends.
·Ensures that clients know how to use the products and services and provides assistance as necessary.
·Develops plans and implements strategies for all assigned accounts.
·Manages day-to-day client communications and relationships.
·Negotiate contracts and consult with the President & CEO of The Chamber
·Recruit Committee Chairs & consult with the President & CEO and Board Chair
·Create strategic plan to delegate committee chair and committee member tasks based on desire, strengths, and established community relationships
·Establish timelines for deadlines including, but not limited to, sponsorships & membership campaigns
·Works with The Chamber Team to support each department
·Support the maintenance and development of internal tools through technology
·Oversee and develop Membership engagement and growth
·Manage & Update Chamber Master and create plan to update daily if needed
·Further knowledge and education regularly through workshops, research, and seminars when approved and share best practices with the team

Job Qualifications
·Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
·Experience: 3-5 years of related experience preferred but not required
Reasoning Ability:
·Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
