Job summary

Cinfed Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Membership & IRA Specialist to oversee the compliance, integrity, and operational efficiency of our membership and IRA functions in Cincinnati. You'll implement policies, conduct risk assessments, and lead training to safeguard regulatory adherence.

You will perform internal audits, manage data integrity, and handle inquiries with diplomacy, supporting staff and members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of related financial institution experience.
• Strong understanding of Credit Union membership policies, IRA structures, and complex federal regulations.
• Exceptional tact and diplomacy for managing highly sensitive, confidential financial documentation.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment and core banking software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update membership and IRA documents, applications, disclosures, and policy manuals.
• Perform evaluations, run annual risk assessments, and conduct quarterly compliance quality control audits.
• Lead employee training sessions and update teams regarding procedural changes and annual compliance education.
• Review file maintenance workflows to ensure proper separation of duties and accuracy across data platforms.
• Address member and vendor inquiries with diplomacy, ensuring a professional corporate reputation.
• Track and submit internal and external regulatory reports to supervising government agencies.
• Strictly adhere to all Credit Union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.

In this role, you'll implement vital policies, conduct risk assessments, lead employee training programs, and perform internal audits to guarantee regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong grasp of credit union regulations, excellent auditing skills, and the diplomatic communication style needed to support both staff and members.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and update membership and IRA documents, applications, disclosures, and policy manuals.
• Risk & Audit Management: Perform evaluations, run annual risk assessments, and conduct quarterly compliance quality control audits.
• Staff Training: Lead employee training sessions and update teams regarding procedural changes and annual compliance education.
• Data Integrity: Review file maintenance workflows to ensure proper separation of duties and accuracy across data platforms.
• Relationship Management: Address member and vendor inquiries with diplomacy, ensuring a professional corporate reputation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1-3 years of similar or related financial institution experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Credit Union membership policies, IRA structures, and complex federal regulations.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional tact and diplomacy for managing highly sensitive, confidential financial documentation.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of basic business equipment, standard office PCs, and core banking software.
• Core Competencies: Proven project management abilities, sharp decision-making skills, and extreme attention to detail.
• $20-21 hourly rate

Work Schedule

Full-Time (40 hours) Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
