American Pharmacists Association (APhA) is the leading national body representing pharmacists in all practice settings in the United States. The Vice President, Membership will lead the Membership Department, shape strategy for growth and retention, and oversee operations to deliver high-value member experiences.

This role drives data-informed decisions and cross-functional collaboration to advance the profession.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Association Management, Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CAe designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 12+ years in leadership or senior management in a professional association (health care preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years in strategic planning, talent management, and budgets over $4 million.
• Minimum of 5+ years of supervisory and staff management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the leader of the Membership Department, setting strategic direction and overseeing membership growth and retention strategies.
• Oversee development of new member acquisition through outreach, campaigns, partnerships, and engagement efforts.
• Ensure members experience high value and remain engaged throughout lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and oversight of membership operations for operational excellence and member service.
• Leverage data to inform decisions, measure success, and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with staff to align on member needs across the association.
