Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Membership Services and Membership Manager for Driftwood Downtown in Austin. The role builds and defines the membership community, handles recruitment, retention, inquiries, and on-floor member interaction to uphold a high-quality club experience.

You will report to the Driftwood Downtown General Manager with a dotted line to Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club leadership, ensuring targets are met and member satisfaction remains stellar.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business, communications/marketing, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in membership sales with a track record of successful sales management.
• Prior leadership experience in the membership sales industry is strongly preferred.
• Experience operating computer and club communication platforms including Microsoft software, Pacesetter (club app), and Mailchimp.

Responsibilities

• Lead membership recruitment efforts, including prospect outreach, club tours, applications, approvals, onboarding, and member processing.
• Develop and implement strategic membership sales plans to achieve annual acquisition, retention, renewal, and revenue targets.
• Analyze market trends and customer preferences to refine and optimize sales strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective members, current members, local industry partners, and community leaders.
• Represent Driftwood Downtown to strengthen brand awareness and generate qualified membership opportunities.
• Partner with the General Manager, Finance, and Marketing teams to develop sales forecasts and membership campaigns.
• Maintain accurate prospect, membership, sales, and revenue records, and prepare regular reports on activity and pipeline.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges.
• Lead club communications as primary point of contact for members and guests, ensuring timely updates on activities, services, and amenities.
• Maintain a visible on-floor presence during peak hours to support atmosphere and service standards.
