Job summary

YMCA of Central Maryland, Inc. in Catonsville is seeking a Membership Associate to deliver outstanding service to members, guests, and program participants.

The role focuses on engagement, promoting memberships, and registering participants for programs/services, while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. Under supervision of the Membership Director, you will execute sales, support inquiries, and ensure compliance with Y policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Engage with members, guests, and program participants to promote membership and services.
• Process registrations for programs and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean entrance and enforce access guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service on phone, email, and in person.
• Attend meetings and uphold Y values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility).
• Assist in other areas as assigned.
