Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston seeks a friendly, safety-minded wellness floor attendant to provide excellent service to members in a safe, engaging environment that promotes wellness and healthy living. You will assist members on the wellness floor, monitor equipment, uphold safety standards, promote YMCA programs, and support emergency responses while upholding YMCA policies and values.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, interpret, retain, and teach safety-related materials.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA values and helps recruit volunteers.
• Assist members on the wellness floor and uphold safety standards.
• Monitor the wellness floor and equipment, report accidents or repairs.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and order.
• Respond to member questions and concerns.
• Foster relationships with members and promote programs.
• Follow YMCA policies and emergency procedures.
