Job description

What You’ll Do
  • Provide member service, maintain the checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
  • Offer guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology and process member purchases.
  • Assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise and report unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and transporting items; promote the company’s products and services.
  • Zone the area, arrange and organize merchandise, and identify shrink and damages.
  • Maintain a safe shopping environment and communicate potential criminal activity according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation; execute emergency response procedures; ensure compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assist with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new program rollout training, and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Work as a team, build strong and trusting relationships, communicate with impact, energy, and positivity to motivate and influence, and strengthen the team by helping, developing, and mentoring others; recognize others’ contributions and accomplishments.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Retail experience, including operating front‑end equipment such as a cash register.
  • Experience working with mobile retail applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience or certifications related to retail operations or customer service.
  • Knowledge of Sam’s Club or similar retail environments.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid at rates ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
