Job summary

Sam's Club in Louisville, KY is looking for a front-end associate to provide member service, operate the checkout area, and promote Sam's Club products while guiding members on self-service technology. You will process purchases and assist with payments, returns, and exchanges following policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide member service.

  • Assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types.
  • Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Correct and report unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintain entrance areas: acknowledge members, verify membership cards, identify member needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, promote company products and services, zone area, arrange and organize merchandise, assist members with transporting items, maintain a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintain exit areas: review member receipts, acknowledge members, identify needs, secure Sam's Club assets, observe and communicate potential criminal activity per company policies, maintain paperwork and logs, execute emergency response procedures, ensure compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Assist with training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new program rollout training, provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure area of responsibility is maintained per company policies by properly handling returns, zoning area, arranging and organizing merchandise, identifying shrink and damages.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implement related action plans, use the Open Door Policy, and apply these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour under specific circumstances. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
