Job summary

Sam's Club in LUFKIN, TX is seeking a full-time front-line associate to deliver member service, operate checkout areas, and assist with payments, returns, and exchanges. This role supports self‑service technology and promotes products and services while maintaining safety, merchandising, and customer satisfaction in a busy club environment.

  • Maintains exit areas – reviews member receipts, acknowledges members, secures and safeguards Sam’s Club assets and property, observes and communicates potential criminal activity per policies, maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, executes emergency response procedures, and ensures compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures, teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new program rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures, including proper handling of returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
