The position requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years of public-facing experience, proficiency with standard software, and the ability to relate to diverse communities. YMCA program certifications are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of experience working with the public and cash handling.
• Proficiency with standard business software computer operations.
• Detail oriented and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications upon hire.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

Responsibilities

• Process membership enrollment and program registrations using YMCA systems.
• Greet members and staff, determine visit purpose, and direct them to destinations.
• Handle inquiries or complaints with a friendly, professional manner.
• Accept and process cash transactions and reconcile till drawer daily.
• Provide facility tours to inform and encourage membership enrollment.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
• Follow safety, emergency, and child abuse prevention policies; report incidents.
• Participate in annual fundraising events and promote programs and donations.
