We are looking for innovative and dynamic professionals with a passion for exceptional service to join our Retail Banking financial centers as a Member Service Representative.

** This opportunity is floating between our Howard County centers in Maple Lawn, Ellicott City & Clarksville. **

What You’ll Do

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the “face” and “personal connection” to our members in our Financial Centers. With a focus on making things easy, enjoyable, and effective, the MSR ensures the delivery of exceptional member service through engaging communication, accuracy, and efficiency. They educate members on SECU products and services, make appropriate referrals, and coordinate lobby traffic, including managing appointment schedules and setting wait-time expectations for walk-up members. MSRs also assist members via the Curbside channel, promoting SECU’s alternative channels and modeling self-service behaviors. They ensure effective referral-based conversations that benefit the member and the Financial Center's overall performance.

An MSR should have knowledge of SECU (e.g., critical measures, strategy), the local market footprint, the financial services industry, and SECU’s brand impact. They must thoroughly understand SECU’s products and services, hold themselves accountable for their behaviors and results, and serve as effective advisors and team players within the financial center.

What We’re Looking For

• College Degree Preferred
• Experience in relationship building and goal attainment in retail banking preferred
• Skills include communication, organization, teamwork, punctuality, critical thinking, social skills, creativity, interpersonal communication, adaptability, and a friendly personality

• Hourly Rate: Min. $18.56 – Max. $27.88, commensurate with experience and education
