Job Summary

The Member Services Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a judgment-free atmosphere for members while delivering excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean environment for all members to enjoy.
• Interact with customers via telephone or in person to provide information about products or services and address account concerns.
• Create rapport with customers, potentially leading to new memberships or additional sales.
• Ensure that customer issues are appropriately resolved.
• Keep records of interactions and transactions, including inquiries, comments, and actions taken.
• Resolve service or billing concerns through activities like exchanges, refunds, or bill adjustments.
• Service a variety of customers with different needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
• Complete contract forms, update records, or issue service discontinuance orders using computers.
• Work effectively in a team setting.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk continuously during shifts.
• Talk frequently in person and on the phone.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• May encounter toxic chemicals during shifts.

Availability

• Flexible with open availability.
• Work hours range from 6 to 25 hours per week.
