Responsibilities
- Perform to your best abilities during your assigned work shift.
- Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and atmosphere.
- Stay proficient in Planet Fitness mobile app use, content, and updates.
- Ensure all proper training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the club is presentable and up to Excel standards.
- Perform club walkarounds and complete assigned cleaning or related tasks, including re-inspections.
- Audit and balance cash drawers daily.
- Input and update member information into tablets and point of sale systems.
- Ensure members adhere to policies and guidelines, addressing infractions as needed.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
- Communicate with members to deliver high-quality service.
- Stock retail and janitorial items for the upcoming shift.
- Resolve day-to-day member issues and adhere to company standards.
- Audit club inventory and collaborate with GM, AM, and Shift Lead on inventory orders.
- Maintain up-to-date certifications and training.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Promote and assist prospects and potential members through tours and communication.
- Support the GM and AM with membership promotions and operational strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all laws and insurance requirements.
- Assist members with equipment, tanning, HydroMassage, Total Body Enhancement, and other amenities, following all procedures.
- Represent the company at community events and outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- CPR and AED certifications are required before working alone; uncertified team members will have 30 days to complete training.
- Comfortable standing for long periods.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team-oriented, motivated, organized, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer use.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Knowledge of Planet Fitness's mission, values, and culture.
Additional Details
This role has no supervisory responsibilities. The work environment is a fitness club with typical office and custodial equipment, and noise levels may be loud. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 75 pounds, and other physical activities. Work hours vary based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights.
