Job summary

The YMCA of Greenville is seeking a Part-time Member Services Associate II to deliver exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, and to promote memberships and programs. The role requires availability for evenings and weekends and a friendly, helpful presence at the front desk.

You will assist with memberships, program registrations, and inquiries while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service/public relations exposure preferred.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants at the front desk and over the phone.
• May serve as Manager on Duty as requested by management.
• Sales: processes memberships and program registrations; shares information on facility and programs.
• Resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of issues.
• Adheres to YMCA policies and safety procedures.

The Member Services Associate II is responsible for delivering excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants, responding to member and guest needs, and promoting memberships and programs.

*This position is evening and weekends only. Must be available Mon-Fri 3pm-9pm, Saturday 7am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.*

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
• May be required to serve as Manager on Duty as requested by upper management.
• Conducts interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sell memberships and programs; provide information of facility and programs to inquiring members.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
• Registers and receipts monies for memberships and program participants.
• Utilizes Y computers with skill and proficiency.
• Develops ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned post for extended periods of time.
• Maintains a positive attitude and contributes toward a quality work environment.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
• Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
• Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
• Follow mandated reporting requirementsAdhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities
  • Front Desk Personnel- ensure consumers are properly signed in and out, ensure only authorized adults are allowed in the facility, etc.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills and have ability to multi-task.
• Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills.

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.

Requires:

• Completion Child Abuse Prevention, Blood Bourne Pathogen and CPR/First Aid training within first 30-days of employment.
