Job summary

YMCA of Greenville is hiring a Wellness Associate I in a part-time role to greet members, answer questions, book appointments and keep the wellness floor clean and organized.

You will conduct tours, promote memberships and programs, and respond promptly to member needs while maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old or a high school junior.
• At least 1 year of customer service/public relations experience preferred.
• Passion for healthy living and helping others achieve goals.
• Active participation in a healthy lifestyle.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm.
• Enjoy working with people and have a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Strong communication, listening and computer skills.
• CPR/First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follow mandated reporting requirements and supervise high-risk activities.

The Wellness Associate I position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all members, program participants and guests. This involves the greeting of all members and guests, booking appointments, assisting with questions regarding services and programs, organizing, maintaining and assuring cleanliness of wellness floor.

Responsibilities

• Give facility tours and orientations to new or prospective members as needed.
• Actively promote the Y, memberships, programs, services, and lessons, as well as promotions and/or discounts available.
• Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests.
• Provide detailed descriptions of Y memberships, programs, services, facility features and hours of operation.
• Properly open, perform daily tasks and close wellness area each day according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Set a good example in promptness, respect, manners, honesty and caring for all members, program participants and guests.
• Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers
• Attend/complete required abuse risk management training
• Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers
• Follow mandated reporting requirements

Qualifications
