Corning Credit Union is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative in Wilmington, NC. You will build member relationships, answer questions, and perform cash handling transactions while maintaining knowledge of CCU’s products and services.

Role Summary:

As a Member Service Representative I, you will build member relationships through quality service experiences, answer member questions in a knowledgeable, professional manner, and perform a variety of cash handling transactions.

• Maintain appropriate knowledge of core systems and CCU’s products and services
• Present and explain beneficial products to members and assist in meeting their financial needs
• Utilize solid cash handling skills and procedural knowledge to effectively perform a variety of paying and receiving functions
• Answer questions and resolve problems for members by leveraging effective listening and quality service skills
• Perform file maintenance and account changes
• Balance daily transactions, verify cash totals, and investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions
• Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned
• The desire to make serving others a career
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Confidence in promoting appropriate products and services
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Technical aptitude and experience with Microsoft programs
• Basic math skills
• Cash handling and customer service experience is preferred

Education Requirements

• An Associate degree or other form of secondary education is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered
• A high school diploma or GED is required

Experience Requirements

• Prior Teller or customer service experience is preferred but not required, as CCU will provide extensive training to the successful candidate

• The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence
• The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards
• The ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations
