Job summary

Scott Credit Union is seeking a Member Service Representative (Teller) in Belleville, IL. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional member service, processing transactions accurately, and educating members about SCU products and services.

The position is on-site at the East Belleville Branch with a Monday–Friday schedule and periodic Saturday rotation. The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, staying organized under pressure, and contributing to a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• Strong focus on accurate cash handling and member transactions.

Responsibilities

• Operates on-line teller terminal and accurately records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
• Performs OFAC screening and reports matches to the BSA Group, including CTR/SAR requirements.
• Educates members on SCU products and services and refers to FSRs, mortgages, business lending/services and investments.
• Opens/closes teller terminal daily, accounts for cash, balances and submits daily work to Teller Supervisor.

About the Role

Member Service Representatives are one of the primary points of contact for SCU members. They are the first, and often only face our members see. Member Service Representatives must engage with SCU members and process their transactions efficiently and accurately. They are responsible for educating members about SCU products and services as well as providing an exceptional member experience.

What You’ll Do

• Operates on-line teller terminal and accurately records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
• Perform required OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) screens as outlined in the Non-Member Verafin Processing policy and reports any positive matches to the BSA Group. Complies with BSA requirements of completing CTR and SAR.
• Foster and maintains relationships with members responsible for providing prompt, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous member service. Investigates member concerns, researches and recommends a resolution to branch management. Ensure we are meeting expectations with member service satisfaction results.
• Educate members on SCU Products and Services including referring members to FSR’s, mortgage, business lending/services and investments.
• Daily opens and closes Teller terminal, accounts for cash assigned, received, disbursed. Accurately balances to teller terminal close report and remits daily work to Teller Supervisor for disposition.
