Job summary

YMCA Avon is seeking Part-Time Member Service Representatives to greet members, answer questions, process enrollments and payments, and support front desk operations. You will interact with members and staff to promote satisfaction, membership sales, and retention.

Evenings and weekend availability may be required; you will handle data entry, cash handling, and maintain clean, welcoming lobby areas while upholding YMCA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Cash management experience preferred.
• Organized and able to follow directions.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and good communication.
• Comfortable in a membership-driven environment.
• Ability to multitask in diverse situations.
• Computer and keyboarding experience, with good data entry.
• Strong phone etiquette and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Process payments and maintain balanced cash drawer and receipting according to procedures.
• Inform supervisor and/or co-workers of any dilemmas, concerns, and updates during working times.
• Apply working knowledge of membership system to data entry, maintenance, reporting, etc.
• Complete accurate data entry and maintain records on new members, renewals, program participants and guests.
• Ensure maintenance of all member resource information at front desk.
• Keep front desk and lobby area neat, clean and professional.
• Greet members / visitors according to YMCA guidelines.

Member Service Representatives are responsible for conducting all member interaction tasks to promote member satisfaction, membership sales, and retention. These tasks include phone and in-person interaction with members and YMCA staff members, administrative activities that may include member and program enrollment, record keeping, and payment processing.

Occasional evening and weekend availability required.

This is a Part Time position.
