Job summary

Mid American Credit Union is seeking a customer service representative to assist members with account transactions and information. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and a friendly, professional demeanor in a member-facing capacity.

Starting wage is $17/hour. This is not a remote or hybrid position, and the team works in a climate-controlled office environment. Training on BSA/AML compliance is required.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education - High School Diploma or GED required


• Experience - Six months to two years of similar or related experience with delivering exceptional service while exhibiting empathy, patience and excellent written and verbal communication.


• Additional skills – Proficiency with multitasking and building relationships; interactions with members and coworkers often rely on confidentiality and discretion, as well as demonstration of conflict anticipation and resolution, tactful delivery, and good listening skills.


• Other – Professional appearance and manner, as well as punctuality.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 10 pounds


• Climate-controlled shared work area with standard levels of office noise and minimal fluctuation in temperature. Employees will be expected to sit, stand, stoop, and walk while performing the duties of this job.


• Interactions with members and coworkers include telephone and some video calls, in addition to in-person interfacing.
