Job summary

CoVantage Credit Union in Wausau is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative to be the face of the branch, assisting members with accounts, loans, and a range of financial services. You will deliver friendly, personalized service and help members meet their financial goals.

The role involves transactional duties, product guidance, and collaboration with teams to promote financial literacy. The position requires a varied schedule including some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years' experience in financial institution, service or sales, or an Associate's Degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for direct professional contact with a wide variety of people.
• Demonstrates above-average performance, accuracy, productivity, and member service.
• Punctual and maintains a neat, professional appearance; demonstrates proper business telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows programs.
• Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services.
• Bilingual fluency preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing information on products and services.
• Provides warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member.
• Educates members and refers to the appropriate person or department when needed.
• Understands members' financial needs and offers suitable products and services.
• Educates members on Interactive Teller Machines usage.
• Collaborates with team members and departments to achieve goals and a positive work environment.
• Participates in community events to promote financial literacy and strengthen local ties.

As a Member Service Representative, you will be the face of our credit union, building connections with our members and ensuring they receive personalized assistance to meet their financial needs. You'll be in direct contact with the members assisting on a variety of transactions ranging from opening accounts to applying for loans.

Job Duties

• Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing accurate information on various financial products and services
• Demonstrates efficiency and professionalism to members by providing warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union
• Provides members with information regarding credit union products and services and refers the member to the appropriate person or department if unable to provide the member with information requested
• Understands and assesses members' financial needs to educate on and offer suitable products and services that align with their goals
• Educates members and assists as needed with the Interactive Teller Machines
• Collaborates with other team members and departments to achieve organizational goals and maintain a positive and supportive work environment
• Participates in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and cultivate strong ties with local residents and organizations

This individual will work a varied schedule including working multiple Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years' experience working in a financial institution or service or sales related capacity or Associate's Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis
• Exhibits above average performance accuracy, productivity, and member service
• Is punctual and maintains a neat, professional appearance and demonstrates proper business telephone etiquette
• Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows programs
• Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services

Branch Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
