Job summary

Covantage-Credit-Union is seeking a Full-Time Member Service Representative for its Rothschild, Wisconsin branch. As the face of the credit union, you will greet members, assist with transactions, and provide personalized financial guidance to meet their needs.

You will handle a variety of tasks from opening accounts to loan applications, ensuring accurate information and friendly service. A team-oriented environment with opportunities to contribute to community outreach is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in financial services or related capacity or Associate's Degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily member contact.
• Demonstrates accuracy, productivity, and member service.
• Punctual with professional appearance and telephone etiquette.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows tools.
• Knowledge of the credit union and its services.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in opening accounts and processing transactions.
• Provide warm, personalized service and accurate product information.
• Refer members to appropriate department when needed.
• Assess members' financial needs and educate on suitable products and services.
• Assist with Interactive Teller Machines as needed.

As a Member Service Representative, you will be the face of our credit union, building connections with our members and ensuring they receive personalized assistance to meet their financial needs. You'll be in direct contact with the members assisting on a variety of transactions ranging from opening accounts to applying for loans.

Job Duties

• Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing accurate information on various financial products and services
• Demonstrates efficiency and professionalism to members by providing warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union
• Provides members with information regarding credit union products and services and refers the member to the appropriate person or department if unable to provide the member with information requested
• Understands and assesses members' financial needs to educate on and offer suitable products and services that align with their goals
• Educates members and assists as needed with the Interactive Teller Machines
• Collaborates with other team members and departments to achieve organizational goals and maintain a positive and supportive work environment
• Participates in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and cultivate strong ties with local residents and organizations

This individual will work a varied schedule including working multiple Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years' experience working in a financial institution or service or sales related capacity or Associate's Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis
• Exhibits above average performance accuracy, productivity, and member service
• Is punctual and maintains a neat, professional appearance and demonstrates proper business telephone etiquette
• Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows programs
• Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services
• Bilingual fluency preferred, but not required
