Job summary

CoVantage Credit Union in Weston is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative to be the face of the branch, helping members with transactions, opening accounts, applying for loans, and delivering personalized financial guidance.

You will work with a friendly team to provide accurate information on products, educate members about services, and refer to the right specialist when needed, while maintaining a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in financial institution or service/sales role or an Associate's Degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional contact with a wide variety of people.
• Above average accuracy, productivity, and member service.
• Punctual, neat appearance and proper business telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing information on financial products and services.
• Provides warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member.
• Educates members on products and services and refers to the appropriate department when needed.
• Understands members' financial needs to offer suitable products and services.
• Educates members with Interactive Teller Machines and collaborates with team to achieve goals.
• Participates in community events to promote financial literacy and engage with local residents.

CoVantage invests in their team members! The pay for this role is $18.00-$30.56. Your starting pay rate will be based on your related experience and qualifications.

Job Duties

• Assists members in opening new accounts, processing transactions, applying for loans, and providing accurate information on various financial products and services
• Demonstrates efficiency and professionalism to members by providing warm, welcoming, and personalized service to every member who visits or contacts the credit union
• Provides members with information regarding credit union products and services and refers the member to the appropriate person or department if unable to provide the member with information requested
• Understands and assesses members' financial needs to educate on and offer suitable products and services that align with their goals
• Educates members and assists as needed with the Interactive Teller Machines
• Collaborates with other team members and departments to achieve organizational goals and maintain a positive and supportive work environment
• Participates in community events and outreach programs to promote financial literacy and cultivate strong ties with local residents and organizations

This individual will work a varied schedule including working multiple Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 years' experience working in a financial institution or service or sales related capacity or Associate's Degree
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in direct, professional contact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis
• Exhibits above average performance accuracy, productivity, and member service
• Is punctual and maintains a neat, professional appearance and demonstrates proper business telephone etiquette
• Working knowledge of software programs such as Microsoft Office and Windows programs
• Detailed knowledge of the credit union and its services
• Bilingual fluency preferred, but not required

Branch Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
