Job summary

Create Credit Union in the United States is seeking a dedicated Member Service/ Teller to open consumer accounts, maintain account records and provide excellent member service. This role emphasizes accuracy in cash handling and building strong member relationships within CCU standards.

The position requires proactive product recommendations, cross-training across branches, and commitment to ongoing development. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online banking is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in a banking environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of regulations pertaining to accounts, confidentiality, disclosure and lending is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online/mobile banking services.

Responsibilities

• Open consumer new accounts and perform account maintenance.
• Balance cash drawer daily to ensure accuracy.
• Produce quality work efficiently and with minimal errors.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries.
• Provide member service per CCU standards and deepen member relationships.
• Proactively offer products and services to meet member needs, driving sales and referrals.
• Cross-train in other branch/department functions as directed by the Branch Manager.
• Demonstrate CCU's service commitment in all member interactions.
• May be assigned to work at any branch.
• Engage in self-development activities and attend meetings, trainings or courses as requested.
• Utilize online/mobile banking related services.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesOpens consumer new accounts and performs account maintenance.Balances cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions.Produces quality work efficiently and free from errors.Research, troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries.Applies advanced knowledge and logic to all activities and member interactions and creates solutions that are in the best interests of members.Provides member service in accordance to CCU standards.Works to establish and deepen relationships with members so CCU is the members first choice when a financial decision is made.Proactively offers products and services as solutions to member needs that result in sales and referrals to business partners throughout the credit union.Ability to attain goals as set by management on a consistent and continual basis.Cross Trains in other branch/department functions as determined by Branch Manager, as well as demonstrating the ability and willingness to cross train other employees in the operational, sales and service aspects of their position.Demonstrates the organization's service commitment in all member interactions. Ensures a positive and professional team environment.Performs duties as assigned by management and may be assigned to work at any branch.The credit union promotes continual education and career development.
