Description

The successful MSR I (Teller) is an enthusiastic employee responsible for providing outstanding service to CU members. They greet members, listen to their needs, and find solutions to their financial needs. An MSR I handles basic teller duties and ensures members are served promptly and professionally. This position requires the willingness and ability to build member relationships by actively uncovering needs and suggesting credit union products and services.

Job Details

This is a full-time position offering benefits and immediate Paid Time Off. The MSR I will also be on a development path towards career advancement to MSR II, offering further learning and earning opportunities.

Essential Functions and Duties

1. Represent the Credit Union courteously and professionally.
2. Operate online teller terminals for transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check deposits/cashings, and loan payments.
3. Process cash advances, cashier’s checks, money orders, and government bonds.
4. Open and close accounts daily, process cash and transactions, and balance at the end of the day.
5. Verify transactions, monitor deposit amounts, examine documents, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
6. Resolve member requests and questions promptly, performing research as needed.
7. Be familiar with all Credit Union products and services, actively suggesting or referring members to meet their financial needs.
8. Maintain confidentiality and security of member information.
9. Secure assigned cash and cash items.
10. Perform drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned.
11. Balance ATM daily if assigned.
12. Track sales for the MSR incentive program.
