Costco in New Jersey seeks a friendly entry-level Associate to greet members, verify membership, and help maintain safety and order at the entrance. Duties include counting entrants, recording weekly reports, and assisting in other warehouse tasks as needed.

• Conducts hourly building safety and security checks.
• Walks the building and perimeter, pushes carts and picks up stray items or puts items away.
• Corrects safety and security problems encountered, such as spills, trip hazards, and blocked exits.

• Attends warehouse safety meetings.
• Maintains the entrance area consisting of opening/closing store doors, greeting members, verifying membership card, offering a cart, directing members, keeping entrance/exit area clean and dry.
• Uses a handheld clicker to keep count of entering members, reports half-hours to front end managers, and records counts on weekly reports.
• Watch closing managers leave, report any suspicious activity to duty manager, and calls police if necessary.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

• Maintains the entrance area consisting of opening/closing store doors, proactively greeting all members as they enter and utilizing information from the membership scanner to acknowledge membership status and length, verifying membership cards, offering a cart, directing members, keeping coffee grinder clean, and keeping entrance/exit area clean and dry. Ensures workers make it to their cars safely, watches for members trying to enter the store, and scans for general suspicious behavior.
