Job summary

Elijahhouseliving is seeking a team member to greet members, provide a high level of service, assist with loading orders, and help with promotions and packing preferences.

The role includes stocking, cleaning, setting up and closing the department, transferring pallets, and assisting in other departments as needed. Open availability and legal work eligibility in the United States are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and assist with loading orders onto the conveyor.
• Answer questions and explain promotions to members.
• Assist cashier by counting items left in cart and checking for proper scanning.
• Pack orders and check packaging for tampering; follow safety procedures.
• Support self-checkout by monitoring for errors and keeping area clean.
• Maintain cleanliness of front-end and register area; clean spills or hazards.
• Set up and close department; stock registers and return products.
• Move pallets from receiving to shelves or sales floor for storage.
• Observe product signage and label unmarked items; dispose of hazardous materials as needed.

Position Summary

Actively greets members, provides a high level of member service, performs clean up, department set-up and closing tasks as necessary.

Job Duties

• Greets members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, thanks members, assists cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items and positioning them for scanning.
• Packs member orders into boxes and loads to a separate cart or flatbed. Checks packaging for tampering. Follow all safety and security procedures. Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties. Assists members loading orders into the car when appropriate.
• May assist members with self checkouts with regards to scanning heavy merchandise, entering in items numbers.
• May assist members with self checkouts through monitoring the registers for errors and keeping the belt area clean of product and debris.
• Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front-end area. Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning area.
• Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage, or directly to the sales floor.
• Assists with stocking. Clears sales floor debris. Observes and ensures correct product signage; creates computer-generated signs. Labels unmarked product with item number.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery.
