Job summary

Beginnings Credit Union is seeking a driven Member Relationship Representative to deepen member relationships by providing exemplary service and proactive needs assessment. You will promote deposit products, identify cross-sell opportunities, and refer to Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Lending as appropriate.

You will also support teller duties, educate members on financial solutions, and strive to meet branch sales goals while participating in the Sales Incentive Program.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of similar or related experience.
• Proven sales ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union products and services.
• Working knowledge of Windows software and common office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell Beginnings deposit and lending products and services to our members through various means of communication (in person, telephone, email).
• Make qualified referrals to Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Lending as appropriate.
• Support and fill in on the teller line as needed.
• Identify and act on opportunities to educate the member on products and services that can improve their financial position.
• Achieve or exceed individual and branch sales goals as assigned.
• To actively participate in the Sales Incentive Program, contributing to team and organizational sales goals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Beginnings Credit Union (Beginnings) is in search of an experienced Member Relationship Representative. This individual will develop and deepen relationships with new and existing members by providing exemplary service and will proactively determine member needs with delivering transactional, educational, and cross-sale solutions. The ideal candidate will understand and accurately execute policies and procedures related to, but not limited to, consumer, business, and special accounts.

Responsibilities

• Assist members and potential members with their financial needs by promoting and selling Beginnings deposit products and services.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell Beginnings deposit and lending products and services to our members through various means of communication (in person, telephone, email).
• Make qualified referrals to Wealth Management, Mortgage and Business Lending as appropriate.
• Support and fill in on the teller line as needed.

Requirements

• One year to three years of similar or related experience.
• Proven sales ability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job.
• Ability to work independently as well as successfully in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union products and services (Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD).
• Ability to use windows software, computer keyboard and mouse, email, ShoreTel phone system, calculator, scanner, fax and copy machine.
