The American Museum of Natural History is seeking a Part-Time Member Relations Representative to provide friendly, accurate service to members and donors. You will handle inquiries, process transactions, and maintain membership records while supporting events and lounge operations.
This role requires a high school diploma and prior customer service experience, with a preference for three years in a similar setting. Evening, weekend, and holiday coverage may be required.

Position Summary
The American Museum of Natural History is one of the world’s preeminent scientific and cultural institutions, and has as its mission to discover, interpret, and disseminate information about human cultures, the natural world, and the universe through a wide-ranging program of scientific research, education, and exhibition. The Membership department works to provide vital, renewable, and unrestricted contributions that support the Museum’s exhibitions, research, and educational programming. The Membership department is seeking a part-time Member Relations Representative to provide customer service to Museum members, donors, and potential members in-person and via phone, email, and/or fax correspondences. The Member Relations Representative maintains a strong knowledge of the Museum’s collections, exhibitions, policies, and membership offerings. They fulfill ticketing requests and explain member benefits, while maintaining and updating accurate membership records via data entry, including membership status. They assist in welcoming members onsite, work in the member lounge, perform general office duties, and assist with member events as assigned. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
The expected salary range for the Member Relations Representative is $20.00/hour – $21.00/hour. This position is overtime-eligible. Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization, and depth and scope of experience.
