Job summary

First Financial Federal Credit Union in New Jersey is seeking an in-office Operations Support Specialist to handle daily electronic banking tasks, including Zelle and debit card settlements, ACH processing, and wire transfers. You will respond to member inquiries, resolve unauthorized transactions, and maintain accurate records while ensuring compliant operations.

You will support daily processing tasks, address address changes, IRA requests, and returns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with credit union products and services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research issues, resolve discrepancies, and complete accurate reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to organize time and resources effectively while completing daily, monthly, and quarterly responsibilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with members and employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and provide excellent services to members and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and compliance with established procedures.
• Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related systems.

Responsibilities

• Process daily ACH files and maintain accurate reconciliation of activity.
• Handle ACH origination processing, including setup of recurring payments and batch updates.
• Research and resolve ACH exceptions and unauthorized transactions with proper documentation.
• Perform share draft processing, postings, reconciliations, and balancing with reports.
• Execute daily electronic payments including Zelle, debit card processing, wires, and bill pay inquiries.
• Manage debit card and ATM operations, including reconciliations and card maintenance.
• Process levies and subpoenas and research requests.
• Assist members and staff with account research and payment issues.
• Update and maintain records for returned debit/credit card mail.
• Support the Operations Manager and AVP with special projects and initiatives.
