Job summary

Extra Credit Union is seeking a lending and member service professional to interview loan applicants, explain programs, and assess needs to offer loan options. You will help members open and close accounts and resolve questions within your authority, and schedule closings when needed.

The role includes applying our lending philosophy, using cross-sell opportunities, and conducting outbound calls to engage members across campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience: One year to three years in similar or related roles.
• Education: A high school education or GED.
• Interpersonal skills: strong relationship building, discretion and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead member loan applicant interviews and explain loan options.
• Evaluate needs and recommend loan options based on position and risk.
• Assist with opening and closing of accounts and resolve questions.
• Establish terms of approved loans and schedule closings with members.
• Authorize release of collateral or changes in loan terms as needed.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities to enhance member relationships.
• Complete outbound calling on identified members for campaigns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
