Job summary

University Credit Union in Los Angeles is seeking a loan/customer service professional to engage members and promote credit union products. You will process transactions and provide consultative service across savings, loans, and related services, working to build strong member relationships.

The role requires 3-5 years of loan experience, a team-oriented mindset, and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Notary and CCUCF certification are preferred. This is an on-site position at the Main Office.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of credit union savings and consumer loan products.
• Basic knowledge of real estate loan products.
• Must be a team player.
• Adhere to regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• CCUCF or equivalent certification preferred.
• Notary Public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers face-to-face/phone service/digital channel to members requesting account assistance.
• Provides consultative services to members regarding credit union products and services by assessing the member's needs, addressing their concerns, gaining agreement, and referring to partners as needed.
• Processes member transactions efficiently and accurately with personal care. Contributes to the departmental goals by processing member requests with sense of urgency.
• May process new memberships, additional share accounts, account servicing, consumer loan requests, and general consumer loan funding as requested by members.
• Completes documentation for accounts and loans according to credit union procedures.
• Performs various file maintenance including processing requests for a change of address, check orders, and ordering debit/ATM cards, etc.
• Performs research on accounts, identifies and corrects member account problems.
• Provides suggestions for streamlining department and credit union operations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
