Job summary

In-Shape Fitness is seeking a Member Experience Ambassador (MEA) in California to be the heartbeat of our clubs. You will connect with members, guests, and staff, delivering exceptional service and guiding them through FitStart and app setup.

You’ll assist with tours, retail guidance, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment while upholding safety standards. CPR/First Aid may be required; bilingual skills are a plus. Flexible evenings/weekends encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Passion for fitness and helping others on their journey.
• Basic fitness and sales experience.
• Excellent communication and listening skills in person and on the phone.
• Customer service experience: friendly, outgoing, approachable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet time constraints.
• Willing to work flexible shifts: evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Get to know each member/prospective member/guest and share In-Shape’s fitness philosophy.
• Support new members through FitStart and familiarize them with club and equipment.
• Assist members with downloading the mobile app and getting started.
• Give club tours and highlight amenities, activities, programs, and promotions.
• Stock/sell/recommend retail items aligned with members' fitness goals.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to member needs and updating memberships.
• Build a welcoming, motivating member experience that exceeds expectations.
• Follow In-Shape Clean Approach and safety policies.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist in other club areas as needed.
• Monitor pool and slide during season where applicable.
