Job summary

First New York is seeking a friendly Teller to provide exceptional member service at our Albany branch. You will handle routine transactions, open new accounts, and cross-sell products to meet member needs.

The role requires accurate processing of consumer and home equity loans, adherence to BSA regulations, and ongoing training of new staff. This is an in-person, full-time position with notary duties to be obtained within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Previous credit union/bank branch experience.
• Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficient with modern technology and core banking systems.
• Knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and positive attitude with members and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Process member transactions accurately and professionally.
• Follow Bank Secrecy Act and other regulatory procedures.
• Open new accounts and cross-sell products to meet member needs.
• Process consumer and home equity loan requests and disburse.
• Provide member service and refer to Retirement/Investment Services when appropriate.
• Mentor and train new hires and collaborate with MSRs.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and reconcile cash daily.
• Ensure in-office presence for member-facing interactions.
