Job summary

Nutmeg Credit Union in Hamden, CT is seeking a Member Service Specialist to be the first face members see, delivering exceptional service and handling account inquiries. The MSS is the front-line contact for new and existing members and plays a critical role in cross-selling products and supporting branch operations.

The role requires experience in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a sales or customer service role is required.
• Experience in a financial/banking institution is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Delivers outstanding service to both internal and external members.
• Performs teller functions including deposits, withdrawals, and check handling.
• Resolves member requests and questions promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Relates well to members, proactively selling Nutmeg products and services.
• Assists members with inquiries on programs, rates, and services.
