Job summary

VASA Fitness is seeking a Member Experience Specialist to be the first friendly face at the front desk, greeting members and guiding them on memberships and fitness options. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming club environment and foster personal connections to motivate members.

The role emphasizes strong communication, independence, and a passion for health and wellness, with commission eligibility and opportunities to grow into leadership positions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• Interest in health, wellness, and fitness.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Background check clearance required; CPR certification is a plus.

• COMPENSATION : Base rate of $15.16 per hour + commission with no cap!

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong communication skills and a professional approach
• Comfortable multi-tasking and working independently
• 1+ year of customer service, membership sales preferred
• Interest in health, wellness, and fitness
• Ability to pass a background check
• Bilingual skills or CPR certification are a plus

WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?

• Guests and members feel welcomed with a smile and eye contact
• Memberships, upgrades, and personal training sales are achieved through confident conversations and tours
• Taking ownership to keep every area of the club clean (including bathrooms, front desk area, etc.), organized, and inviting
• Member needs are addressed quickly with helpful solutions
• Feedback is shared with leadership and used to improve the member experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

Primary work in a fitness facility and office setting. Temperature variations can occur. The environment includes some ambient noise such as talking and use of gym equipment and machinery.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Talking: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
• Physical Strength: Non-Sedentary work, standing and walking most of the time. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under limited standardization. Able to interpret various instructions and relay instructions to clients
• Attendance is an essential duty of the position. Employees must work regularly scheduled shifts, during business hours to assist members and sell services in-person.
