Job summary

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Membership Coordinator at the Prospect Park branch to ensure a high-quality member experience, manage daily audits, registrations, and renewals, and oversee point-of-sale transactions.

You will work with the Membership Sales & Engagement Director to lead membership operations, handle inquiries, review timecards, prepare reports, and support staff scheduling and training. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in business administration preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a fast-paced administrative setting.
• Three (3) years of experience in a hospitality setting preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the daily audit of transactions that occurred on the previous day/s at the branch, including registrations, cancellations, and holds.
• Run and review the expected Credit Card Draft reports; Bank and Credit Card Exception reports; and renewal notices.
• Handle in-person inquiries, calls, and emails from members.
• Assist with reviewing timecards in ADP e-Time.
• Download third-party utilization reports and post them to the web portal.
• Reconcile payments and aging reports; cancel memberships over 60 days past due.
• Prepare staff schedules and assist with staff meetings.
• Assist with hiring, training, and developing staff in the branch.
• Attend branch/association events and update files as needed.
• Schedule rentals and process payments.
