Job summary

San Diego County Credit Union is seeking a Receptionist to coordinate lobby and phone traffic and provide prompt, professional assistance to members. You will promote credit union products and services and maintain service standards set by the organization.

The role requires friendly, reliable interaction, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle inquiries and referrals. Full-time position with standard business hours in Poway, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience or SDCCU member facing work experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of member interviewing techniques, ability to identify and offer/refer products and services to meet members’ financial needs.
• Possess effective human relations and communication and organizational skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and potential members to establish rapport and determine financial needs, directing them to the right staff.
• Prepare members for interactions by verifying eligibility, needed services, and required documents.
• Answer calls within three rings; maintain courtesy and accurate messaging; ensure continuous phone coverage.
• Maintain branch scheduling with clear, complete appointment information and changes.
• Relay accurate information about staff activities and handle member concerns or referrals.
• Identify and refer products/services to meet financial needs; track referrals and meet targets.
• Record all member interactions per policy; participate in AML/BSA training and CTR compliance.
