Job summary

Wayspring is seeking an Engagement Specialist to remotely support members enrolled in our program. You will telephonically engage with individuals, review service offerings, and maintain ongoing contact to keep members connected to care.

The role emphasizes building trusted relationships and providing a steady, supportive presence as members navigate recovery. Ideal candidates will have at least three years in outreach, strong organizational skills, and excellent verbal communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an outreach role.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability working in a matrixed environment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively is required.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, and effective presentation skills.
  • Experience with CRM platforms or Electronic Health Record systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct text and telephonic outreach to members assigned to their caseload
  • Successfully contact members and review with them an educational overview of Wayspring’s service offerings
  • Provide ongoing engagement to members
  • Ensure member’s are connected to Wayspring clinical services
  • Incorporate recovery support themes into engagement
  • Regularly review member profile for SDoH and clinical updates
  • Initiate creative strategies to facilitate member contact
  • Maintain performance accountability around member engagement and participation and achieve performance targets
  • Adhere to Wayspring information security and privacy requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Overview of the Engagement Specialist

You’ll build trusted relationships over time, offering a steady and friendly presence as members work toward their goals as they navigate substance use disorder (SUD). This role is a great fit for someone who is personable, professional, and values meaningful interactions. You’ll support a specific health plan market(s) and use your communication skills to help members feel understood and supported.
