ArchWell Health seeks a Member Financial Counselor to guide members through Medicaid and other assistance programs, enroll in benefits, and manage related financial inquiries. The role emphasizes data accuracy, coordination with healthcare staff, and supporting cost-sharing programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Medicaid or other assistance program eligibility.
• Advanced knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare programs and eligibility processes across multiple states.
• Ability to guide members through benefits counseling and enrollment activities.
• Experience with multi-site healthcare delivery environments preferred.
• Familiarity with capitated risk-based reimbursement models is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members by phone to complete eligibility paperwork for state and federal programs.
• Support members in a contact center environment, meeting productivity, quality and service standards.
• Initiate inbound/outbound calls for provider education and benefit resolution.
• Identify opportunities to enhance coverage and reduce member financial responsibility.
• Enter/update data into internal systems and ensure accurate reporting inputs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other staff to obtain necessary information for Medicaid processing.
• Support ArchWell Health Cost Share Assistance Program activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in line with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the financial program leader.
