Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Member Financial Counselor to help members enroll in state and federal assistance programs and to assist with questions about ArchWell Health bills and benefits. This role requires comfort with technology and the ability to navigate multiple benefit portals.

You will work closely with care teams to identify eligible members for Medicaid, MSP, LIS, SNAP, and LIHEAP, input data into internal systems, and document outcomes for reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; high school diploma required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Medicaid and other assistance program eligibility.
• In-depth knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and state/federal benefits for seniors.
• Ability to guide members through benefits counseling and enrollment activities.
• Experience with multi-site healthcare delivery organizations preferred.
• Experience with capitated risk-based reimbursement models preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Ability to learn/use Salesforce, Teams, and eCW.
• Demonstrates ArchWell Health values.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with completing paperwork for eligibility determination and enrollment in programs like Medicaid, MSP, LIS, SNAP, and LIHEAP.
• Provide member support in a contact center, meeting productivity, quality, service, and compliance standards.
• Initiate inbound/outbound calls for education, resolve benefit concerns, and identify coverage opportunities.
• Identify members eligible for programs to reduce financial responsibility.
• Handle inbound calls during established coverage windows.
• Research and document patients’ financial histories per program regulations.
• Enter/update data into internal systems and report for reporting.
• Contact physicians, nurses, social workers, banks to obtain information to complete Medicaid.
• Support ArchWell Health Cost Share Assistance Program.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per laws and regulations.
• Perform other related duties as directed.
