Job summary

Menzies Aviation is hiring a Fuel Farm Operator in Memphis, TN. The role involves sampling and testing jet fuel and other fuels, inspecting facilities and fueling equipment, and ensuring safe, compliant operations at outdoor storage and fueling sites.

Responsibilities include daily log entries, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with Quality Control to prevent spills or contamination. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work

Qualifications

  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performs inspections and basic maintenance on facilities and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Performs routine inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.
  • Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to prevent spills and contamination.
  • Makes log entries of fuel transactions, quality control and maintenance.
  • Adheres to safety policies and procedures and attendance guidelines.

Role Purpose

The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for qualitycontrol,andperforming inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.

What you will be doing

  • Receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks.
  • Samples and tests products for quality control and performance inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles.
  • Supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems including related equipment on fueling vehicles.
  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards
  • Transfers product and monitors storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination
  • Conducts all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state and federal safe work policies/procedures
  • Makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance
  • Assures adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Can meet Company's Attendance and code of conduct standards

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FFA Airport required identification/seals or authorizations. Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to safelylift upto 70 pounds.
  • Must pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airports and customs badges/seals.
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays if required.
  • Work is done primarily outdoors. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.
