Weir is seeking a Production Team Member- Melting Specialist in Newton, MS to support the melting department onsite. You will rotate across roles such as AOD, EAF, Crane, Pourer, and Refractory to meet demand while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role emphasizes accurate process records, equipment operation, and teamwork, with opportunities to train and mentor staff in a high-stakes metalworking environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Crane and Forklift operation certification.
• Strong work ethic with good attendance and positive attitude.
• Ability to perform multiple roles in melting department while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate and rotate within melting department positions as needed (AOD/EAF/Crane/Pourer).
• Move loads and manage molten metal in melting/pouring bays; monitor EAF levels and cleanliness.
• Record process data accurately; report any pour issues to supervisors.
• Assist in training new hires and cross-training team members.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in the melting department.
