Job summary

Audubon Metals in Corsicana, Texas is seeking a Melt Utility to operate and maintain the flow of finished products to shipping. You will monitor ingot releases, control air hammer operations, perform quality checks, and document results in the production system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ingot releases from molds and release intervals.
• Oversee air hammer operation to ensure proper release.
• Immediately communicate failed ingot releases to supervision.
• Perform quality checks, such as visual inspection.
• Inspect ingots for non-conformances using hand tools.
• Verify heat numbers against production schedule.
• Document non-conforming products in the data system.
• Ensure finished product is weighed and entered into the system.
• Monitor stacking machine operation.
• Operate manual ingot banding machine.
• Operate automated sow line and monitor control panels and temperature controls.
• Move product to assigned warehouse locations.
• Other duties as needed.
