Upstate Coin & Gold in Centennial, CO seeks a Systems Optimization Manager to build the operational foundation for a scalable melt shop. You will drive KPI development, capacity planning, and standardized processes while collaborating with melt shop and development teams to optimize yields and throughput.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and data-driven decision making with a focus on cost, tooling, and continuous improvement across production operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial/chemical engineering, operations management, or related field preferred; extensive experience considered.
• Minimum 4 years in manufacturing/metallurgy or regulated production, with 3+ years in optimization/ops management.
• Experience with precious metals or high-value inventories preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and compliance across the department with PPE and audits.
• Develop and monitor KPI frameworks for yields, turnaround times, and utilization.
• Create and enforce SOPs and training modules; maintain shift checklists.
• Plan daily production capacity and forecast demand to prevent bottlenecks.
• Analyze cost, labor, overhead to map true cost-per-lot.
• Maintain audit trails and track lot weights and melt loss.
• Manage staffing progression and training/certification.
• Research CapEx and prepare ROI summaries for leadership.
