Job summary

Upstate Coin & Gold is seeking an experienced Systems Optimization Manager to drive continuous improvement in our Centennnial metal melt operations. You will build scalable processes, KPI frameworks, and SOPs to ensure safety, compliance, and efficient production, leveraging ERP systems and advanced Excel analysis.

You will lead capacity planning, monitor yields and throughput, and develop cost analyses to improve profitability while maintaining strict regulatory adherence and accurate financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial/chemical engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Chemistry or Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, metallurgy, or highly regulated production.
• 3+ years in systems, optimization, or operational management capacity; experience with precious metals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: lead safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Systems & KPI Management: develop KPI frameworks for yields, turnaround, utilization.
• Standardization & SOPs: build and update SOPs, training modules, and shift checklists.
• Capacity Planning & Production Control: establish daily production plans and forecast demand.
• Profitability & Cost Analysis: measure true profitability with labor and overhead tracking.
• Auditability & Financial Tracking: maintain audit trails and track lot weights.
• Staffing & Progression: manage skills progression and training/certification.
• CapEx Planning: research upgrades and present ROI summaries to leadership.
• Continuous Improvement: drive process efficiencies using root-cause analysis.
